Valencia –
ReplyDeleteyou have a great sense of color and now just need to work a bit on your layout and design. You really have a great deal of potential so why not take a 2D or Graphic design class. You need to work with a grid so the text doesn’t float very arbitarialy over the page – in fact here it is just cutting the image in half and I am struggling to find which is more important the image or the text. – something that you will learn over time. Look at Stephen Steigmiester. The image looks a little stretched perhaps it is just the color – The repetitive buggy like elfs are a great use of size variation, but they are not as strong as they could be – strong as in they could be pushed back so they really look ethereal / transpancy or a yellow in color –
What is this thing of women and angels?
It would be great to see if you could expand on your visual vocabulary, using different illustration techniques to add more visual dimension. You can obviously draw and have a very tim buron look but you could also start to explore different types of techniques
The image looks intriguing due to your color choice. You have removed the red which changes the background color from black like Warrens. Color good but text design needs work! – the words under the title should be smaller and the distance between the lines smaller which will add hierarchy and interest as well as breathing space.
Sorry I mixed your name up Valencia - just tired. Hope to see in one of my classes in the future.
