My second assignment with illustrator was to recreat this squid. I feel I didnt do to badly but I will let you be the judge of that. ^_^

Valencia this is a great start. Your original had a bit more line variety and playful ness in the shape. I do enjoy the one eye and lime the gradients you used.

ReplyDeleteValencia Bug squid The squid wrapped itself around the Bridge and the whale successfully but the 3rd seems to just sit on the horizon – not on the iconic ferris wheel.
1. The whale and the squid work well in as illustration technique and interaction. The text is Ok but needs to be down the bottom of the postcard. The edge works like the softness of the aquarium.
2. The Bridge and the squid are well integrated. Your illustration technique have become a signature with the squid – Now is the time to put a bit more detail to add emphasis
3. The postcard is clean and begins to work with the place but you needed to change the actual shape of the squid
